Premiere of Hunting Family 2

The 21:21 art organization in collaboration with the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb and de facto theatre proudly presents the new project by Francesco Scavetta, a reknowned European choreographer and contemporary dance technique pedagogue. The project is titled The Concave.
The Concave is the first in the series of works by 21:21, supervised by Ksenija Zec and Petra Hrašćanec, aiming to open doors to young and yet unestablished dance and performance artists as well as students of the recently founded Dance Department of the Academy of Dramatic Art for collaborating with the leading international choreographers, directors, dramaturges and audio-visual artists aiming to expand education and establish new artists on the Croatian contemporary professional dance scene.
Francesco Scavetta has been present in European and Croatian dance context for a number of years and his choreographic work is noticed for its specific dance language, interest in educational processes within art productions and innovative approach to dancers. Until now, he has been cooperating with the Zagreb Danse ensable, Contemporary Dance Studio, Festival of Dance and Non-Verbal Theatre in San Vinčenat, Lazaret Art Workshop and de facto, and the project titled The Concave is his first encounter with students studying at the Dance Department of the Academy of Dramatic Art. Under the mentorship of Petra Hrašćanec, assistant professor at the Dance Department of the Academy of Dramatic Art, and Francesco Scavetta’s pedagogical direction, ten students created a performance characterized by explosive and virtuosic dance setting in motion dance art potential.
The first public showing will be held on 15 February 2015 at the Academy of Dramatic Art, Hall F 22 on 22 Frankopanska Street in Zagreb.
